Born and raised near the Nürburgring he was infected with the race virus in younger days. Like many little boys he was crazy about cars from the beginning and he started karting. From karting he went on the typical way into the different Formula series. Especially the German Formula 3 and his victories in the series were important for his further carrer. In his Formula career he already gained international experiences which are significant for Pierre Kaffer and his motorsport career.

Beside his engagement lasting two years in the DTM for Audi his commitments and victories with different car types in different classes of the LMS, the ALMS, the 24h Le Mans and of course the 24h Nürburgring show the wide range of his driving skills. In 2012 Pierre participates in WEC with a LMP2 prototype.

Despite his determination, his ambition and his discipline the 35-year old motorsport enthusiast is an open, communicative and sympatic sportsman who loves the close contact to his fans and his business partners. Pierre’s pleasure in professional motorsport and his athleticism are reflected in his activities beside his racing while working as an instructor to teach others having fun and getting skills controlling cars.
